Improve Your Skin

Skincare is extremely important, but most people neglegt it. It’s crazy to think that skin is our bodies’ largest organ, yet it’s something we pay such little attention to. There are small and simple things you can do every day to take care of and improve your skin, and I am here to share these with you!

  • WATER, Water, and more Water – Hydrating your body is essential in improving the health of your skin. Hydrated skin not only looks and feels beautiful, but it helps prevent wrinkles and diseases. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day will improve your health in such an amazing way. If you have a hard time drinking this much water, there are other ways to stay hydrated. Eating plenty of fruits and veggies can replace a couple of glasses of water. Also, you can try eating more soups and stews. No excuses people! Hydration is KEY.
  • Protein is Your Friend – Protein is important for beautiful skin, hair, and nails. The building blocks of protein are amino acids. When protein is eaten, your digestive system breaks it down into amino acids, which pass into the blood and are carried throughout the body.  You can find protein with tons of amino acids in fish, poultry, eggs, meat, and milk.
  • Vitamin A – Got damaged skin? The most natural way to repair these damages is by giving your body more vitamin A. You can find it in carrots, sweet potatoes, green and yellow fruits, and fish oils. Or if you’re on the lazy side like I am, you can take fish oil pills or vitamin A pills.
  • Wash Your Face and Use Lotion – It’s SO important to find a daily skincare routine that works for you. Leaving dirt, makeup, sweat from the day on your face will seep into your pores and cause you to break out. Period. At the very least you should be using makeup wipes every morning when you wake up, and every night before bed. Don’t forget the lotion. That keeps your skin soft, and young!
